Profile

Dr. Zotos Anastasios is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at the University of Patras. His research interests focus on the ecology and vegetation of wetlands, the water stress of individual plant species and plant communities, the water movement along the Soil-Plant-Air continuum, the conservation and management of plant species, habitats and ecosystems, the monitoring, mapping and assessment of conservation status of plant species and habitat types, the biodiversity and dynamic distribution of plant species, the sustainable management of water irrigation and water resources and the precision agriculture. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Agriculture (BSc in Agronomy) and holds an Integrated Master in Plant Protection.  He also completed his doctoral thesis at the University of Ioannina, Department of Environmental and Natural Resources Management. He has a sufficient number of publications in international peer-reviewed journals and national and international conferences. He has participated in numerous national and international research projects. He worked for more than ten (10) years at the Ministry of Rural Development and Food and the Payment and Control Agency for Guidance and Guarantee Community Aid.
